Press conference of the BIHAR initiative

After two years of preparatory work, Garabide has taken part in the organization of the BIHAR initiative, in collaboration with the organizations Plazara, Soziolinguistika Klusterra and Taupa Mugimendua. After the presentation held in Bilbao, at Euskararen Etxea, we will present it next Monday, May 11, at 11:00, at Borderline Faktoria in Hendaia.

The BIHAR project places at the center minority language communities that are carrying out revitalization processes, focusing on the discourses and narratives surrounding language revitalization. Based on an international diagnosis and strengthened through a socialization exercise carried out across the Basque Country, it will take the form of a four-day congress to be held from September 23 to 26 between Bilbao, Irun and Hendaia. Further details will be provided during the press conference.

It will be a unique and large-scale initiative. An excuse to look outward to the world and an opportunity to position ourselves globally.
