Linguist Miriam Viviana González Garzón has analyzed the revitalization process of the Nasa Yuwe language in a doctoral thesis. The presentation will take place next Monday, the 20th April, at 12:00, at the Micaela Portilla Research Center in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The main focus of the thesis has been to explain the linguistic strategies implemented over the last fifteen years in the municipality of Toribío, in the Cauca department of Colombia, to revitalize and recover the Nasa Yuwe language. A key element in this process has been the collaboration with the Basque language and its community.
