The Durango Town Council welcomed Jonnier Quiguapumbo, a member of Colombia’s Nasa community, accompanied by Rosa Elizburu and Xabier Etxeberria, representatives of Garabide. The visit is part of the linguistic cooperation project “Strengthening linguistic and educational strategies for the recovery of Nasa Yuwe: Exchange of experiences between the Basque Country and the Nasa people.” The project’s main objective is to strengthen and revitalize the Nasa Yuwe language spoken by the Nasa community in the Cauca region.
