Revitalizing silenced languages. 10 months confined in Bariloche

16/12/2020

Mikel Mendizabal is the coordinator of the project Hizkuntza indigenak. Ama lurra zaintzen (“Indigenous Languages. Caring for Mother Earth”). It is a book that gathers drawings and texts from 11 different Indigenous cultures. Daniel Módenes and Cristina Peñaranda spent 14 months in Southeast Asia doing volunteer work in different hostels and later travelled to Argentina intending to explore Latin America. The lockdown caught them there, and they spent 10 months confined in Bariloche before finally returning home to tell their story.
