Mapuche communities continue their struggle to reclaim the lands seized by the state during Chile’s dictatorship, sometimes through land occupations and other times through the courts. The company Forestal Arauco has been required to return 96 hectares to the Ignacio Huilipan community, in the Contulmo area.
