Much of the Mapuche ancestral land, particularly in Argentina, is now owned by foreign companies. The Mapuche people have been engaged in a long-standing conflict with Benetton, whose vast sheep ranches—home to around 100,000 sheep—occupy part of those territories and supply the company's wool production.
