María Juana Farinago: “We are trying to create a single alphabet”

One of the people who has been in the Basque Country is María Juana Farinago. She is a Quechua from Ecuador and works in the field of education. She has spoken to us about her language, which is used in the home environment but still has a long way to go in education.

Many events have shaken Ecuador over the past ten years, such as the protests led by the indigenous Pachakuti movement and the dollarization of the economy. As a result, Rafael Correa is currently the president. Last September, with 67% of the vote, a new constitution was approved.
