This Sunday marks three years since the Colombian state and the FARC guerrilla signed the peace agreement. The hope of ending more than half a century of war reached its peak. Since then, the peace process has moved forward slowly, and since the radical right came to power, the situation has worsened. In the Cauca department, in the southwest of the country, violence has increased dramatically in recent months. The Nasa indigenous people, who are defending their lands and working to ensure the peace agreement is fulfilled, are being targeted by armed groups.
