The year 2019 has been harsh for the inhabitants of the Colombian department of Cauca, and especially severe for indigenous peoples. This is the balance reported by the CRIC (Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca) on November 12: 68 killings, 179 threats, 15 attacks, 15 massacres, 7 armed actions in protected indigenous territory, 6 serious attacks, 6 cases of forced recruitment of minors, and at least 200 minors at risk of recruitment under the influence of armed groups.
