Jon Sarasua (Aretxabaleta, 1966) says that the situation faced by the Basque language is a universal issue. He is a writer, university professor, and member of the Garabide association, which focuses on linguistic cooperation. Regarding language revitalization, he believes that Basque has much to teach and much to learn in the global arena of languages.
